What we take

We consign street, urban and contemporary art — prints and editions, originals, sculpture and collectibles. In practice, the work we place fastest falls into two groups:

  • Artists we already carry. We hold 1284 works across our collection, so for these artists we already know the market, the edition structures and the buyers. See the full artist list.
  • Blue-chip street and contemporary names we don't currently carry. A strong work by a recognised artist is always worth sending us.

Beyond that it's case by case. There's no fixed value threshold and no fee to ask — send photos and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right gallery for it. If we're not, we'll usually say where else to try.

How it works

  1. Send us photos and details

The artist, title, year, medium and size, the edition number if there is one, and any paperwork you have. Photograph the front, the signature and numbering, and anything that affects condition. Phone photos are fine — good daylight and no flash is most of it.

  2. We review and price it with you

We check the work against recent comparable sales and tell you what we think it will realistically sell for, and how long that's likely to take. We agree the asking price and our commission with you in writing before anything moves. Commission depends on the artist and the value of the work.

  3. Your work stays with you

You don't need to ship us anything to get listed. The work stays on your wall until it sells. If you'd rather we held it — you're moving, or you'd like it out of the house — we're happy to, just ask.

  4. We list and market it

A full catalogue entry in front of our collectors — here, on our Artsy gallery profile, and to the buyers already following that artist.

  5. It sells, and we send you a label

You ship straight to the buyer on a prepaid, insured label we provide — you're never out of pocket for shipping. We'll tell you exactly how to pack it before you seal anything, and rolled canvases, framed works and sculpture each need handling differently.

  6. You get paid

Within 14 days of the work reaching the buyer, once they've confirmed it arrived as described. Buyers have 48 hours from delivery to report a problem, so that window closes first.

Why consign with us

  • We already sell this work. Not a general auction house or a marketplace listing — a gallery whose entire collection is street, urban and contemporary art.
  • Your work reaches buyers who collect that artist. We know who bought the last one, and our collectors are spread across the world .
  • You never pay to ship it. When the work sells we send you a prepaid, insured label and tell you how to pack it, so it arrives the way it left.
  • You'll get a straight answer on price. Including when we think a work is worth less than you hoped, or when you'd do better selling it somewhere else.

Common questions

What commission do you take?

It depends on the artist and the value of the work, so we agree it with you per consignment rather than applying one rate to everything. You'll have it in writing before you send anything.

Does it cost anything to submit?

No. Reviewing a work and giving you our view on price is free, and there's no obligation either way.

What if it doesn't sell?

We'll talk to you about adjusting the price, or you can have the work back. We'll agree how long we're listing it for when we take it on.

Do I need a certificate of authenticity?

It helps a great deal, and it usually affects both the price and how quickly a work sells. Send us what you have — original receipts, gallery paperwork or previous COAs all count. If you have nothing, tell us and we'll advise.

Do I have to send the work to you?

No. It stays with you until it sells, then goes straight to the buyer on a label we provide. We can hold it for you instead if you'd prefer — some people would rather not keep a valuable work at home while it's listed — but it's entirely your call.

What if my photos aren't very good?

Photos of the actual work are always better, because buyers want to see the real condition, the signature and the numbering. If you can't get decent images we can list using a source image of the edition instead, but expect it to sell more slowly. Tell us what you've got and we'll work with it.

How should I pack it when it sells?

Ask us before you seal anything. Rolled canvases, framed works and sculpture each need different handling, and the wrong packing is the most common way a work gets damaged in transit. We'll walk you through it and the label is already paid for.

Can I sell a work I bought from you?

Yes, and it's straightforward — we already have the catalogue entry, the photography and the provenance on file.

Got something to sell?

Send photos, the artist and the size. We'll come back to you with a realistic price and a straight answer on whether we're the right gallery for it.
